Install first pure ASMedia USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers v1.16.49.1 WHQL incl DPInst using DPInst as admin I suspect Intel drivers, because these ports are Intel "controlled"Īfter full uninstall I also tried to install in this sequence: I am really stuck with this problem and can’t find any solutions. Or if I plug in front panel it appears like:Īnd nothing happen if I plug it in port n☁0 or 11 When I plug a USB2 device in my rear panel (port n☁, USB2 port) it appears like this: Install pure ASMedia USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers v1.16.49.1 WHQL incl DPInst using DPInst as adminįinally I have an unknown device in my device manager (as usual…) and any of my USB2 device are read by any USB3 port except the rear one n☁3. Install first pure 64bit Win7 Intel USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers v5.0.4.43 WHQL with DPInst option using DPInst as admin Uninstall all usb devices from my device manager (I use the keyboard only to reinstall from a “fresh” system) Recently, I buy a new phone, still USB2, and I try to plug it in my front panel (internal USB3.0 headers Intel) and of course it didnt work (as usual ) Everytime I have to connect a USB2 device I go under my desk, take my frontal lamp and plug it in the n☁3 USB3 port I tried all the drivers from Asrock website since 2 years now, from Intel drivers, and many drivers website and abandonned at the end. All USB3 devices (microSD card reader, external HDD) work on all USB3 ports. I can’t read any USB2.0 devices (3 differents USB sticks and my phone Samsung GS3) on the different USB3.0 port except the rear USB3.0 port (n☁3 in rear panel). I hope to avoid reinstalling windows as that would mean reloading all apps and files.I work with Asrock X99 Extreme6 work under Windows 7 圆4 (details below) Here is a picture of my device manager as it stands now. I am wondering if that's what the error I'm seeing is - not having that ASMedia USB root hub driver that I need for Oculus. I am wondering if that's the problem as I don't see one for 3.1? When I google device manager images randomly with some of my key search words, I do see some device managers having "ASMedia USB Root Hub" under that last USB Controllers section. One question I have is should I have a second USB root hub in the device manager USB controllers section at the bottom? The only one I have says USB Root Hub (USB 3.0). But I have 30 days and want to be sure it's not my USB root hub before I do that. Some backstory here is that I went through Oculus support for over a week and now have an RMA to send the Quest 2 back to them. I have tried it in both the USB-C port and a regular fast USB port (blue ones) with an adapter which should work (USB 3.1 GEN 2 Male to Type-C Female Adapter ). So now the only device manager errors I have are related to ASMedia root hubs.Īll of my USB ports seem to work for typical peripherals (webcam, headphones, mouse, keyboard) except that my Oculus Quest 2 does not. I also removed the CSR bluetooth chip which boosts bluetooth because it also creates an error and I'm not using it anyway. Asus driver from 2018 and creates the error. Strangely, when I update the adapter using Driver Booster 8, it loads a driver from 2019 vs.
